VICTORIA, Australia – Aethero is ready to compete for the 1,200-metre Group 2 Sprint Cup.
The sporting event will take place in Hong Kong on Sunday, April 5. The Sprint Cup is a component of a Group 2 doubleheader.
This competition comes along with the 1,600-metre Chairman’s Trophy, in which Hong Kong winner Beauty Generation will try to reverse recent form with Waikuku.
The latter is the ascendant miler of the circuit.
According to the report by HorseBetting.com.au, horse racing industry officials have already named the competitors of Aethero.
The chestnut-coloured son of Pinocchio will face Thanks Forever which is his stablemate, Big Party, Hot King Prawn, and D B Pin.
Also, the brilliant gelding bred in Australia will compete with Mr. Stunning, Voyage Warrior, and Full Of Beauty.
From seven starts, Aethero was successful in engineering a record of five victories since his stunning debut score last April.
These wins include a triumph versus the best of his elders in November 2019. This competition was the 1,200-metre Group 2 Jockey Club Sprint.
The success of the three-year-old Hong Kong racehorse in this competition guaranteed that he went off the 1.5 favourite for the 1,200-metre Group 1 Longines Hong Kong Sprint in December 2019.
Aethero reportedly delivered admirably in that match, leading until 30 metres out.
However, he failed to make it as champion under Zac Purton because Beat The Clock grabbed the honour, while Hot King Prawn took the runner-up position.
Aethero is merely two points away from the 121-rating of Hong Kong’s banner horse, the formidable Silent Witness.
In 2003, the latter achieved the highest rating in the Chinese territory this century for a three-year-old racehorse.
John Moore described Aethero. He remarked that the Hong Kong Sprint arrived earlier in the career of the high-performing gelding than would typically have been ideal.
Moore remarked that his galloper is still merely three years old, though he has been intelligent and oozing with skill.
The racehorse trainer affirmed that the offspring of Sebring had demonstrated his impressive ability in running a near third.
Moore pointed out that the excellent racehorse is exhibiting that he is in sound health. Plus, his test the other day was much better and met expectations, the handler relayed.
The racehorse trainer of the gelding shared that the racehorse threw a temperature after the recent horse race in which he took part.
Moore cited that such situation informed him that they needed to give the sporting horse a breather.
He remarked that their group provided the racehorse with a substantial amount of time for recovery that he needed.
Hence, Aethero was able to regain his fitness and wellness for four months.
With this positive development, Moore remarked that he felt pleased to see the gelding during his workout on the all-weather last Thursday, April 2.
Work rider Romain Clavreul told the racehorse trainer that he is delighted with the sporting horse because of the demonstration of his readiness for a comeback.
Moore relayed that they are anticipating a massive run from his sprinter on the competition this coming Sunday.
Meanwhile, Moore affirmed that the Group 2 Sprint Cup is a preparation of his charge for a more crucial sporting engagement.
This weekend assignment is the preparation event of Aethero that will tune him up and get him ready for the 1,200-metre Group 1 Chairman’s Sprint Prize in Hong Kong on Sunday, April 26, according to Moore.
